This is the first time Brighton-based artist, Matt Ford (DJ Format) has played Coventry. In 2021 he released his sixth studio album, the critically-acclaimed Devil’s Workshop, described as an “immersive kaleidoscope of ideas.”
Format’s DJ sets are renowned for their boundary-crossing selections, making use of the rare and obscure records he’s collected from around the world over the course of his 20-year career.
Playing in the heart of the city’s creative quarter, FarGo Village, Format will be spinning an all-vinyl DJ set of songs from the album, in addition to music that inspired its composition, including psychedelic rock, soul, funk and hip-hop.
Format will be joined by local DJs Hindsight, Neil Seeley and Paul Toller for a very special evening at The Box, FarGo Village.
